Privacy

What we hold

• Owner's email — used only to send a one-time sign-in code and to find your house again. No password exists.
• Family members' first name — chosen by them when they join with an invite code. No email, no age, nothing else.
• Your house — its name, suburb and state. The suburb is sent to Open-Meteo (a free weather service) to fetch today's temperature. No street address is ever asked for.
• Your pets — name, species, breed, age, weight, conditions, the dates you log preventatives, board tasks and who ticked them, condition logs you type, and photos you upload.
• A sign-in cookie on your device so you stay signed in for 180 days.

Where it lives

On Supabase servers in Sydney, Australia (database and photos). The app itself runs on Render. Sign-in codes are emailed through our Google Workspace account. A copy of the database is exported weekly to a private GitHub repository owned by Cosmic Berry, as a backup.

What we never do

• No advertising, no analytics SDK, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts that watch you.
• We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone. Nobody outside Cosmic Berry can see it.
• No location tracking — the suburb you type is the only place information, and only its weather is looked up.
• No contacts, microphone, or device identifiers.
• The health copy is educational rules written by us, not an AI diagnosing your pet. Nothing you type is used to train a model.

Children

AfterGrass is for the adults who run a household. Family members who join with an invite code give a first name only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if a child has joined a house, the owner can remove them from House → Family at any time.

Delete everything

Signed in as the owner: House → Family → Delete this house removes the house, every pet, every task and log, every photo from storage, and every member — immediately and permanently. A family member can Leave the house the same way; their name comes off the board history. Or email info@cosmicberry.com.au and we will do it within 7 days.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or complain. Email us; if you are not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
